I spent this weekend in the Georgia mountains at our annual Men's Club retreat. It was a great weekend, even if the weather wasn't really cooperating. I don't know when I'll attend another, but one day a visit to the states will allow me to attend one in the future. Many of my conversations over the weekend focused on my aliyah. What caught me a little off guard (but in a good way) is one of the guys, Dennis, comes up to me Friday night when I was talking with one of the other guys and says to me, "we need to talk". Since I was not really talking about anything specific, I was like OK now works... and he then proceeds to tell me that he is making aliyah too. We ended up talking several hours over the course of the weekend. I learned he and his family are not going until November, so I was like: I'll be there and I'll come to the airport to greet you. So, I've now planned for my first greet at the airport! (and I'm not even there yet) This won't be my last, but if I know you and you decide to join us, let me know and I'll be there for you too. So, Dennis and I are going to be keeping each other up to date, and doing what we can do to help each other.
